New Photo eBook from Nat Hab

We just released something big, 70 pages big, and if you love nature photography, you’re going to want this on your tablet before booking your next photo trip. Our brand-new Photo Expedition eBook is finally out in the wild, and it’s packed with the kind of info that actually helps you grow as a photographer, not the fluffy stuff you forget five minutes later.

Think of it as your all-in-one field guide for understanding what makes a Nat Hab Photo Expedition unique, how to get the most out of your photography, and where in the world you can put those skills to work. It pulls together the kind of content we’ve been teaching in the field for years and organizes it into something clean, visual, and easy to reference. Plus, page after page is full of real images from our guides that make the point better than any paragraph could. And it’s free!

Here’s what you’ll find inside and why it’s worth a download.

Introduction to Nat Hab and our Photo Expeditions

The eBook opens with a straightforward look at what sets our Photo Expeditions apart. Instead of talking in vague terms, it highlights our small groups, flexible daily schedules, patient instruction, and access to places the general public rarely sees. If you’ve ever wondered why our trips run longer or why we build itineraries around light instead of mealtimes, this section lays it out clearly.

From there, we jump into a visual tour of the destinations we photograph. Botswana’s private reserves, the Galapagos’ famously unfazed wildlife, Churchill’s polar bears, Iceland’s dramatic coasts, Alaska’s bears, northern lights in subarctic Canada, and more. Equally important to visiting these places is conserving them, so we also have a section focusing on conservation photography. It connects the dots between great images and meaningful impact, explaining how photography can raise awareness and support conservation efforts when it’s done with intention.

Photography Tips & Techniques

The eBook also includes a hefty set of practical photography tips that are genuinely useful, not generic. You’ll find guidance on focusing on eyes, using aperture creatively, freezing action, composing with space, embracing bad weather, anticipating wildlife behavior, and using storytelling to strengthen your images. Short explanations paired with strong examples make it easy to absorb. This feels like a quick workshop in the field.

A final section covers photographic styles and techniques. Wildlife portraits, environmental scenes, creative approaches, landscapes, macro, night photography, and travel storytelling are explained alongside visual examples. What works well is that the eBook doesn’t push you toward one style. It simply gives you a vocabulary for what you’re already drawn to and shows you how to refine it. The visual spreads do most of the teaching, which keeps things engaging and avoids the dryness you’d expect from a typical wordy guide.

Overall, the eBook does exactly what it should. It introduces Nat Hab’s photography philosophy, gives you actionable guidance, and showcases the wild places where you can put it all into practice. Whether you’re planning a trip soon or just want to sharpen your skills at home, it’s a resource worth keeping on your device.
